Last Bastion.
A pearl on the outer third of the Great Sphere, approaching the Verge, close to Cor Agnas (the Heart of Fire) and adjacent to Cor Tierras (the Heart of Earth). A large desert pearl with hot, burning days and dark, frigid nights. Its atmos, broken from its natural cycle by the Void’s distant influence, locks its suns and moons in place. Under a bright white sun, the booming, chaotic city of Last Bastion swelters under permanent high noon. In the distant deserts, where the sun always sets, settlements emerged to mine the prevalent fire crystals deep within molten crags and canyons. Beyond the light of day, the far side of this pearl is cloaked in permanent, frigid night. No one knows what lies hidden among its dark, barren sands.
Novalassa.
The vast homeworld of the Manu, Novalassa is one of the aether’s biggest pearls. In the ancient past it began as sparse settlements that came to cultivate the land, and through a long history of war and strife, it has finally become a unified civilization led by representatives of its many diverse peoples. Novalassa enjoys a mild, Mediterranean type climate due to its balanced elements and closeness to Cor Gaias. However, this balancing force dampens the effects of magic, prompting many Manu to seek new worlds to expand their arcane knowledge. The dampening effect led to Novalassa serving as a 'warless ground' on which international disputes are settled. While it lacks many rare and valuable resources that might be found on more ‘unusual’ realms, it enjoys fertile land with more than enough food for all its people.
